Birkin sweater knitting pattern by Amy Miller

the Birkin sweater by Amy Miller : this pattern allows you to knit an adorable close-fitting sweater with daytime patterns. This sweater will be sublime in mohair for winter or in linen for summer.

The sizes

9 sizes are available, from 81cm to 135cm chest circumference.

Wool

Yarn used: the Plucky Knitter Traveler Sport (merino wool, silk and yak blend)

Sports yarn from 1100m to 1800m.

The needles

circular needles 3.5mm, 80cm.

double pointed needles 3.5mm and 2.75mm (for the sleeves)

circular needles 2.75mm, 80cm and 40cm.

The technique

• This pattern is knitted in the round from bottom to top.
• the back and front are separated at the armholes and knitted flat.
• we knit the sleeves in the round.
• the neckline is then knitted last.
