Carina Spencer's Yellowbrick cowlette

Carina Spencer's Yellowbrick cowlette is knitted using two yarns together, a mohair yarn and a light fingering yarn. It is knitted in the round from top to bottom, widening as you knit. You alternate jersey and days, with stripes to finish with pretty lace and an original smock stitch.

411 m of mohair lace.

The version shown is knitted with La Bien Aimee Cashmerino (75% Merino, 15% Cashmere goat, 10% Nylon; 474 yds/433 m / 100 g) color Yellow Brick Road and Mohair Silk (70% Mohair, 30% Silk; 547 yards/500 m per 50 grams) color Lise.

When choosing your yarns, a lightweight yarn with a nice drape will work for light fingering, and any lace yarn with a hairy halo will be perfect for lace wool.

Needles: 3.75mm needles - 60cm circular needles.

19 stitches over 27 rows: 10cm in stockinette stitch, both threads together.
